A group offering international opportunities

Our policy of openness to the international is lived in all the educational structures of the school group St François d’Assise, it is the «Happy school» workshops in primary schools offered to learn and have fun in English. In college, English deepening and every year school trips to Europe are organized. In high school, it has been a partnership with the University of Guanajuato in Mexico since 2018.

The partnership signed with the association «YFU France» allows to welcome every year foreign students in all levels of high school. These young people come from different countries.

Obtaining the Erasmus+ Charter in September 2018 was also a key element in the development of our institution internationally. In 2019, we were able to finance 30 internship mobilities for students. Since October 2019, we have implemented an annual English formation plan for 8 teaching, administrative and supervisory staff. They went to Cork, Ireland, on their working time for a week to attend intensive courses.

A teacher, Mrs GONZALEZ, is ERAIE. The latter devotes time to the management of Erasmus+ mobility, to the information watch concerning future developments, to the coordination of activities and actions related to Europe and the international, the establishment of partnerships with local associations such as the Maison de l’Europe, YFU, with companies abroad, with DAREIC at the academic level and with the CCEF at the regional level and the prospection of potential partner institutions.

For the school group St François d’Assise, travel is the youth!

Erasmus +

With the Erasmus+ programme, students have the opportunity to benefit from funding to do an internship abroad or to follow a mobility as part of their studies at a partner university.

Many countries are opening up to them, in Europe, but also now in the world. The International Referent of the Higher Pole Ste Marguerite accompanies young people in their eligibility process and on the administrative aspect of the trip.

” Becoming a student at Ste Marguerite High School is an excellent opportunity to do your internship abroad and even to try the adventure of pursuing your studies outside of our borders through our partnerships with Quebec.

In their first year of the BTEC Higher National Diploma in International Trade, students complete an internship in a company for 8 to 9 weeks over the months of May and June. That experience is also strongly encouraged for all our tertiary-level training courses and for the students of our DNMADE (national diploma in arts and design), thanks in particular to the Erasmus+ program.

Going abroad means daring to discover a new culture, adapting, and increasing your cultural, social, linguistic, and professional skills. Students come back more confident, more open-minded, and prouder to have experienced such a special time!

In our school, you will be accompanied, encouraged, and supported in order to make your project come true. Be bold, take the plunge and start this wonderful adventure, which is a springboard for your further studies and your professional integration!

Lao Tseu said: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”. Come and take that first step from our school! And come to make sure that the 1000 miles and beyond will lead you to your internship and or the continuation of your education!

Welcome to Ste Marguerite High School! “

Teaching

Cours d'anglais à l'école Ste Thérèse

School Ste Thérèse

English lessons from kindergarten!

In the project of international openness inherent to the school group, the teaching of English has its place in the school and this from the small section.
The students have two English sessions per week, an introduction to German and Italian is also planned each year.

At CM, thematic days around languages are organized. For example, the students
prepared and enjoyed a breakfast with their teachers!

School Marie of Incarnation

Club Happy School!

We offer reinforced English, from CP to CM2. Come and discover our club HAPPY
SCHOOL!

The Happy School Club is a workshop offered on Monday evening from 4:45pm to 6pm, or on Wednesday morning from 9:45am to 11am in the Marie de L’Incarnation school grounds.

Based on an always playful teaching, the duration of 1h15 allows to have a reinforced teaching in English. Children are in groups (between 4 and 12 students).

  • The program is structured to adapt to the rhythm of children: cooking workshops, sports practices (badminton, athletics, etc.), staged dialogues (buy at the supermarket, order a meal, etc.) will be offered.
  • An approach based on themes that change regularly for a varied learning of vocabulary words.
  • Because students have the opportunity to hear and speak more English, English proficiency is faster.

High school Ste Marguerite

The “Mexico” project is part of our international outreach initiative. This is a reality that has been going on in high school for two years now, through an exchange with young people from the University of Guanajuato. It concerns our first-class and technological students.

It is a multidisciplinary and eco-solidarity project, whose main theme is “drinking water” (access and preservation). In October, Mexican students are welcomed into families at our school, and in turn receive our students in March of the same school year.

This project is worked on throughout the school year in partnership with the CCFD
Terre solidaire and the AELB (Loire Bretagne water agency).

Many other international projects are offered to high school students.

For example, second-year students go to Spain, while first-year students who do not participate in the Mexico project go to Italy (travel subsidized by the Val-de-Loire Centre Region).

Not forgetting the European section, with its physical DNL (non-linguistic discipline), taught in English, and an additional hour devoted to the deepening of classical English (in support of the DNL). For classes from second to final year.

Campus Ste Marguerite

A vision of the world around us!
We have been working at the campus for several years now on opening up internationally for our young people.

It is an opportunity for them to do internships abroad and to be in total immersion in a country, and to understand customs and work codes that are specific to each one.

Thanks to Mobicentre and Erasmus +, our young people have many opportunities for international openness, exchange and mobility.

We want to develop partnerships with associations in connection with the international and the openness to the world.
